In Chiapas, Mexico there is a dire need for the Word of God. Despite being one of the most evangelized states in Mexico there remains great need among the people. Fortunately, God has set His eyes on Chiapas and recently a Book of Hope team arrived to proclaim the Gospel. The team distributed copies of the Book of Hope during the week and an evangelistic event, The Festival of Life, was held over the weekend. This event took place at the Victor Manuel Reyna Stadium in the city of Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital of the state of Chiapas. There were many surprises in store for the attendees - music, extreme sports and games. Plus, a message delivered by Pastor Mike followed by a huge fireworks display.
But the biggest surprise was for those who ministered during the event. God gave them a demonstration of His great love for His people and the response was amazing. The Festival of Life opened their eyes and allowed them to see with Jesus’ eyes. They learned that evening about humility and submission and a deep love for God’s needy children was cultivated in their hearts. Those who accepted the Lord that evening received a wonderful gift, but no more wonderful than those who got to experience it first hand.
