"I am 40 years old. My parents died when I was a child. My brother did not take care of me. Because of a disease, I lost my eyesight. I married in 2003; we have no children. I do not have any educational qualifications, but I can read and write a little in Braille. I am from another faith, but I never used to follow my family rituals and customs. I never heard about Jesus. Since I lost my sight, I did not believe in God; I thought if there was a God I would not be blind. Because of this I hated God and tried to end my life. I tried to hold on to an electrical line and commit suicide. But I fell down and [my life] was saved. I was admitted to the hospital and after I regained consciousness, I started to call on God. Escaping from the incident made me think that somebody was controlling my life and prevented me from ending it.
"I happened to hear your program by chance, while tuning the radio one day. By listening to your program, I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior. Also I came to know that Jesus is the only true God and my handicap has a purpose behind it, according to God. This broadcast is helping me to grow spiritually. Even though I have no proper income to live on, God is helping me to live a happy life and I don’t have any difficulties. I spend much time in prayer. I share about this program with others, as it has been a great blessing to me."
