Faith Comes By Hearing® is a Scripture listening program that has been proven effective in reaching and discipling the world's poor and illiterate with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Today, Faith Comes By Hearing® (FCBH) is expanding its outreach and developing relationships with individuals, foundations and ministry partners worldwide.  As the Body of Christ works together, sharing its gracious gifts and talents, we can make a significant contribution to fulfilling the command of Jesus Christ - to reach EVERY nation with the Gospel.

FCBH has long-standing partnerships with many ministry partners including 142 National Bible Societies worldwide.  These Bible Societies and translation organizations are working diligently to translate the Bible into the 6,809 languages of the world.  Faith Comes By Hearing® then records these translations so that poor and illiterate people can have access to the Word of God through Audio Scripture. 

Hosanna considers it an honor to add their audio ministry to the wonderful work that has been done by translators and Bible Societies to make God's Word available in the language of the people. Especially exciting is an extraordinary partnership begun in 2005 with the American Bible Society (ABS).

By 2016, together we have determined to reach the poor and illiterate of the world with the Word of God in audio in their spoken language:

• By recording 2,000 languages representing all those that have at least a New Testament translation
• By discipling 150 million people in listening groups located in various settings
• By implementing 1.8 million FCBH listening groups to disciple the 150 million people
• By raising $314 million. To accomplish this, the American Bible Society will match every dollar FCBH raises   through the Global Scripture Fund.  This plan when completed will bring fulfillment of Mt. 28:19-20 -- the Great Commission:  "Go and make disciples of all nations . . ."

Jesus Himself discipled through the hearing of God's Word.  He did not write down His teachings, but taught the disciples in an oral tradition through stories and parables.  They heard His teachings, asked questions, got answers, and believed in Him. 

For many of these people, hearing the Audio Scripture in their native language for the first time brings the revelation that God has not forgotten them.  Hearing God's Word in their mother tongue - in their heart language, the language they pray in - is nothing short of a miraculous answer to prayer for them.
